Shuriken Ricochet (browser version): privacy policy

This policy covers the free browser version of Shuriken Ricochet ("the game") made by VPC Apps ("we"), wherever it is played: on our website, on itch.io, on CrazyGames, on GameDistribution and its partner sites, and as a Facebook Instant Game. The Android app on Google Play has its own policy: Shuriken Ricochet app privacy policy.

Summary

• No account or sign-in, no ads and no analytics or tracking code of our own. On CrazyGames and GameDistribution, the platform shows its own ads (see below).
• We do not run servers for the game and we never receive, sell or share your personal information.
• The game only remembers your progress and settings in your own browser.

Information stored in your browser

The game saves your progress (levels cleared, stars, the Daily Challenge streak) and your settings (sound, music, vibration, look) in your browser's local storage, on your device only. It is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Playing on Facebook

The Facebook version runs inside Facebook through Meta's Instant Games platform. Meta may process information about your use of the game (for example that you played it and, if the game uses them, scores or leaderboards) under Meta's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Facebook name, profile picture, friends list or account ID. We may see only aggregated statistics, such as the number of players.

Playing on CrazyGames

On CrazyGames the game runs inside the CrazyGames website and uses the CrazyGames SDK, which tells CrazyGames when gameplay starts and stops and, when CrazyGames switches ads on for the game, shows video ads (for example an optional ad you choose to watch for a hint or an extra throw). CrazyGames and its advertising partners may process information such as your device, browser and IP address, and may use cookies, under the CrazyGames Privacy Policy; ad and cookie choices are offered by CrazyGames. If you are signed in to CrazyGames, it may also keep a copy of your progress with your account. We do not receive your CrazyGames account details; we may see only aggregated statistics, such as the number of plays.

Playing on GameDistribution

On GameDistribution and the websites that embed its games, the game uses the GameDistribution SDK (Azerion), which shows video ads before play, between levels and when you choose to watch one for a hint or an extra throw. GameDistribution, the hosting website and their advertising partners may process information such as your device, browser and IP address, and may use cookies, under the GameDistribution Privacy Policy and the hosting site's policy; ad and cookie choices are offered by them. We do not receive this information; we may see only aggregated statistics, such as the number of plays.

Playing on itch.io or our website

These sites are hosted by itch.io and GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) under their own privacy policies. We do not receive these logs.

Children

The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.

Deleting your data

Your progress is only in your browser: clear this site's data in your browser settings to delete it. On CrazyGames, signed-in players can also ask CrazyGames to delete their account data. Questions: contact us below.
